class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-1 fusion-text-no-margin\" style=\"--awb-content-alignment:left;--awb-text-color:var(--awb-color7);--awb-margin-bottom:45px;\"><p>Francisco Galindo es profesor en la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia de la Universidad Nacional Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico (FMVZ-UNAM). Obtuvo el grado de M\u00e9dico Veterinario Zootecnista por la UNAM y posteriormente el de Doctorado en la Universidad de Cambridge, en el Reino Unido. Fue Jefe fundador del Departamento de Etolog\u00eda y Fauna Silvestre de la FMVZ-UNAM. Desde entonces ense\u00f1a Etolog\u00eda aplicada y Bienestar Animal, tema en los que ha asesorado varias tesis de licenciatura y de posgrado. Ha sido Coordinador de Programas para Am\u00e9rica Latina del Fondo Internacional para la Protecci\u00f3n del H\u00e1bitat y los Animales (IFAW) y Secretario Regional de la Sociedad Internacional de Etolog\u00eda Aplicada (ISAE) del 2000 \u2013 2007. \u00a0Obtuvo la Distinci\u00f3n Universidad Nacional para J\u00f3venes Acad\u00e9micos (DUNJA) en 2004. Desde 2013 es coordinador en M\u00e9xico del Centro Colaborador en Bienestar Animal y Sistemas Pecuarios Sostenibles para la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de Sanidad Animal (OMSA). Ha realizado dos estancias de investigaci\u00f3n postdoctorales en Pa\u00edses Bajos y en Reino Unido, respectivamente. Su principal \u00e1rea de inter\u00e9s es la cuantificaci\u00f3n de sinergias y compensaciones de criterios de sostenibilidad en la producci\u00f3n pecuaria, temas en los tiene m\u00e1s de 60 tesis de licenciatura y posgrado asesoradas y m\u00e1s de 100 publicaciones en revistas arbitradas. Es coeditor de <em>Etolog\u00eda Aplicada,<\/em> (UNAM, 2004), de <em>Animal Welfare<\/em> 3\u00aa ed. (CABI, 2018), y de <em>Etolog\u00eda aplicada: fundamento cient\u00edfico del comportamiento y bienestar animal <\/em>(UNAM, 2024).
